Best scratch remover?
3M #39009 works well on scratches. Take it a little at a time to make sure you won't remove to much clear.

Yeah, I agree with Polisher. The 3M Rubbing Compound (Fine Cut) is a wonder product when used correctly. I recently used some on a relative's trunk that was badly scratched and swirled. They're pretty much all gone now except for the deeper ones you can catch a fingernail in. Now I'm gonna tackle the hood on the same car since I had great results. As a general rule, if you can catch your fingernail in the swirl or scratch, then it's gonna be nearly impossible to remove with any polish without professional help. You can diminish the deep imperfections quite a bit, but they'll still be there, just less noticeable. I get my 3M from NAPA stores...
But, if you use 39002, you MUST follow with a good swirl remover to take out the compounding marks. I'd suggest Meguiar's Swirl Mark Remover #9 2.0 or 3M 39009 SMR for dark cars. Then follow up with your wax for protection.
