Post What the heck do I need to do here?!

I love my 99Z to death, but I'll tell ya, with it being black, and me living in the desert (Phoenix), I can't seem to keep this car clean. I wash it, it's filthy like a day later. Is there anything I can do to keep the car a little more clean. I try to wash it during dusk/evening, cuz the car gets water spots during the day really bad if I wash it then. Any tips on how to keep my car looking brand spankin' new 'n shiny would be appreciated or even on how to wash the car PROPERLY. Thanks in advance!

If it just gets basically dusty, use a California Duster. I need to use one all the time and then I just use the Zaino enhancer spray and it looks like I just polished it.

Well, what kind of wax are you using? Zaino helps repel dust better than almost anything, it contains NO oils. If you're using a carnauba wax, the oils in the wax are the main reason your car picks up heavy dust. The Cali Car Duster is good for light soiling/dusting problems, but I personally won't use it if there is a LOT of dust to pick up.

About washing, it's really pretty easy for a safe and effective wash. Just use 100% cotton mitts or toweling for washing to avoid swirls/scratches. Always wash in straight motions, not circular. Start with the top and work down, you might even want to clean the wheels before you begin. Work in the shade or a cool surface to avoid hard water spotting. For drying and waxing, also use 100% cotton towels. I really like Royal Velvet towels, they are really good and soft. I also use an Absorber and Water Blade to dry up water in a hurry. And, as Kevin mentioned, a good Quick Detailer spray will really make your car look like it was just waxed in minutes. Great for removing light dust and quick touch-ups.

I guess the question is, are you currently using a detailer spray and/or a California Car Duster? and are you using a kind of wax that makes dust attraction worse?

Well, I just got the car about 5 weeks ago. So I haven't a clue as to what type of wax was used previously, but I plan on waxing the car in the upcoming weeks.
No, I haven't used any type of detailer spray on the car or anything of that nature.

Where can I pick up these products specifically?
