another how do i remove these marks thread

all over my car are marks like these. none are deep, you cant even see them unless the car is in direct sunlight.

im basicly a paint care n00b sinse this is my first car that didnt have crappy paint.

there are many many compounds and polishes out there with different abrasives and what not. with the marks i have what is the best method of getting rid of them? if possible i would like a polishing guide (i did a search but most of the posts were old and the links provided were dead), link to products i should use (ive been looking at zaino), first hand tips on techniques, ect ect. anything that could help me out.

any input is appreciated.

take a visit to autopia.org -you will learn anything that you will want over there.
the only way to really remove those marks though, would be with a buffer. you can get a rotary buffer or a random orbit buffer. the random orbit buffer is more preferred for for a beginner since you cant ruin your paint (...as easily as with a rotary). i would recommend a porter cable 7424 (<some combination of those numbers, i have one but cant remember. after you get the buffer, you would need to get pads. usually you will want 3 dift types of pads- cutting, polishing, and finishing. the cutting pad is the most abrasive, and when used with the correct polish, will remove the swirl marks that you speak of. you usually have to follow that up with a polishing pad and less abrasive polish. then you can put on your favorite last step product with a finishing pad.

you could also try to do it by hand, but let me tell you- it is NOT worth it. products like megs scratch-x, a polish made for hand use, is a good product for what it IS. it is a filler- it fills in the swirl marks temporarily and the marks will eventually come back. it is really disappointing to spend all day buffing your vehicle just to have the fillers "wear off" after just a week or two. buy the buffer; it is WELLLL worth the money.

Re: another how do i remove these marks thread

oh yeah- some products:
i am a fan of megs prof. line of products for polishes since they can be easily bought
for a swirl remover i like to use #83 (dual action cleaner polish) on a cutting pad. i follow that up with #80 (speed glaze) on a polishing pad. then i will follow that up with s100 paste wax.
after you get all the swirls removed, you will want to read up on autopia.org about the proper car washing technique so that the swirls dont come back.
