Car Wash & LT1

Any tips on washing a LT1 at the car wash (do it yourself pressure washer type)

I'm talking about not getting the OptiSpark wet. Should I be THAT worried?

Are you going to be washing the engine?

Do not use a pressure washer on the LT1 engine.

No, just the exterior. My cars mostly stock, no pretty FRCS or TB/TB Plate to show off. So just gotta keep it lookin clean from the outside. I shouldn't be worried about water gettin in?

I just dont want to go to the carwash and give them $600.

No need to worry if you're leaving the hood down.

Although, I don't recommend the DIY car washes. Don't use brushes. Always hand/bucket wash if possible.

I'm talking about those DIY car washes with a wand... I turn it on, use soap to fill a bucket, then I go pressure wash the wheels and wet the car. It turns off, I scrub the car with a sponge/bucket. Then I turn it back on and rinse the car off. Pull it out of the bay and use a California Water Blade to dry it off.
