In need of a bad Opti-Spark unit

I am looking for an Opti-spark unit from any year LT-1 that has gone bad. In otherwords, the failed unit that has been replaced and someone did not throw out. It obviously does not have to work. Please E-mail me, PM me or post here if you have one that you want to get rid of. I'll gladly pay the shipping.THANKS!

Re: In need of a bad Opti-Spark unit

I can probably help you out. I live by Crystal Lake, but work in Aurora sometimes, I drive right down Randall road and most likely could drop one by.

It is a vented unit from an LT1 Caprice (1995) and still works with 205K on it, but I replaced it when I did new plug wires (also 205K on the originals).

Might I ask what you need it for?

That would be fantastic. I live on the east side of St. Charles, very close to the DuPage County Airport. You can E-mail me at: Tgamster@aol.com and let me know when you would be in the area.

The reason I am looking for a used Opti-spark unit is due to the fact that I am installing an aftermarket ECM in my car and in order to fire the injectors in the sequential mode, the ECM needs both a cam and crank referance signal. Since no one currently makes anything that is easily adaptable to the LT-1 motor, I need to modify the stock Opti-spark unit to create the needed signals.
