Just to add some fuel here, I sold my wrecked Z28 (pics in sig) on ebay and got 3550 for it and he drove from Boston to New Jersey to pick it up.

 

i hear ya bro...if u gotta say something, it has to be said. I totaly agree with you...i worked 40+ hrs a week in H.S at a grocery store (makin a little above min wage after those damn union dues)while playing baseball in H.S to pay this thing off before i graduated...

i do not mod one thing on the car, untill i graduated and had it paid off. So i know what your saying. and i wish my car was 1,500-2,000, hell i'd buy 10 at that price

 

Just a few things here......

I'd think you would be a fairly smart person with a good job if you have 2 Mustangs of the caliber you state. That or your parents own the cars of you just have posters of them on the wall in your bedroom.

On the other note, I am raising the very large BS flag. If you know of some 1500-2000 F bodies that are LT1 cars, send me some numbers. I'll take 4 right now. Keep in mind you said they wouldn't be heaps but they wouldn't be perfect; that is fine.

I buy a ton of wrecked f bodies. I have never given less than 1900 for one. The cheapest "beater" Z28 I have found to date was 3500. It was a 95 hard top, 3.23 gears, torn driver seat, some DA marks under the paint in the rear quarters, unpainted underneath the hood, etc. car actually ran and drove great. Pull up Ebay and show me ONE LT1 F body OR EVEN A POLICE CAPRICE FOR THAT MATTER that brought less than 2 grand that could be driven home. Not trying to wreck your post, I'm just trying to justify the comments you have made in this post.

Your Maxima is probably still worth 3500-4500 to the right person if the regular stuff has been done. IE timing belt, trans service, oil changes, etc. Sounds like a pretty nice car.

Tell ya what, if you come, and I cant show you at least 3-4 Z's or F-body's forsale(or that have sold) for 1500-2000, I WILL PAY FOR THE TRIP and all the gas to and from here.

Then if you were smart why don't you buy them and put them on ebay or something like a smart individual?? Buy for 1500-2000 and turn around and sell them for 3500-4500 depending on condition!! I will have to agree with everyon eI would love to have a doner car and I have never in my whole life seen a LT1 fbody go for under 3500!! And 3500 is in a pick what you can off of it state!! The motor and drivetrain alone hit right at 2000-2500 i.e. motor, wiring, accessories, drive line, rear end. Not to mention all the other **** you can part out on these cars!! I have a 94' ZR28 and paid right at 9000 for it and had to pick it up so I call a BS on this one my friends!!! If you can find a 93+ fbody for 2000 shipped, you would be one rich person!! I know I could make a 2K to 3K profit off of an fbody if found for 1500 anyone agree with that?? If you are not b.s.in you won't be scared to show us some pics and phone #'s with these fbodies. But then again you would prolly bs about that too!!! Someone take the trip!! LOL!! Holla

Ok, for 1500- 2000 in my area, you can get a f-body that you can drive home. It may just need bodywork, then again, it may need body work and engine work.
Now, if these cars hold there value so well, why is someone selling a like new 00-01 SS on here for 16500? The car only has 7K miles and is basicly brand new.
I NEVER said the car for 1500 would be perfect, but you can drive it home. Im sure there is someone in my area that will make the trip.
You guys are so childish, I can live with mustangs not being worth as much as they were 2-3 years ago, WHY CANT YOU live with the f-body losing value?
And, as for you saying an import is a POS car, I dont even have to say anything about that as the cars speak for themselves. Just seen a maxima the other day getting an oil change with over 260,XXX miles.
You guys have no respect for anyone apparently. I could understand if I came here talking ****, but I did not. I never once said a single thing bad about the f-body's.

i would like to apologize for the immature remarks on behalf of the fbody owners on here who are not immature. I don't think you said anything that deserved getting flamed.
honestly, i think it will be difficult to find someone on here who will trade straight up for the maxima but hey ya never know. I'm sure there is someone on here who would pay cash for it though which seems to be the better way for you. i'm sure you'll get well over $2000 for your car and then you should have no problem buying a z28 that needs a little TLC in your area. in my area fbodies have what i thought was a low value but i have never seen a "nice" one go for less than 5k, and as far as ones needing work i'd say between $3000-4300, the drive-tranes are holding their value real well. i would think that you could get $3500 for that maxima and if i had a fbody that needed a couple panels replaced and had a rod knocking i'd sell it for $3500.
i'm not an import kinda guy, but if i had the money i would buy your car so i had something to drive in the weathered conditions and leave my Z in the garage.

My 93 z - paid $4,750 a year and a half ago.. it has a salvage title.. had 80,000 miles when I bought it then.. I wish I would of bought one for 1,500 instead..
