Just for the record, Slitherstang is telling the truth! I live 5 min. from him and I know of many f-bodys for cheap around here. I can vouch for the '93 Z for $1500. I would buy it if it had t-tops. Slitherstang is a good friend of mine and is not trying to hussle anyone! I rode in his maxima recently and it is worth a trade to someone with an need for a family/luxury car. I've owned a '95 Z, '97 Z, and a '97 SS and I still want another Z to 'hop up' and so does he. So just give him a break!!!

 

Sold my rolling wrecked 94 z for $600. I found a 93 wrecked z28 with 120,000 miles for $1200 that the guy said is drivable, but i havent went and looked at it yet.

The bottom line here is the area you live in. Around here its mustangs everywhere, and very little camaros. Here if you have an 88 or 89 stang with a few mods you can get 5 to 6 grand easy. I know this because i have sold a few. I have a 93 z28 that i cant even get $4000.00 for with chrome 18" rims.

I dont think the guy is bs, because i know how hard it is to get rid of one around here. Like i said it all depends on the area.

Actually my friend i have a dealers liscense and pick up these smashed F-body's (V8's) for $1200-$3000 all day and turn around and make $26,000 a year in just parting them out and selling them VIA Ebay and on here. The F-body cars do deminish rather quickly in value, but not in the neighborhood of $1500! These are not "IROC's" and we dont have mullets, i think you have us mixed up with the 3rd gen'rs(No offense guys) currently the 1993 Z28 i own costed me $3200 w a sixspeed and an V8 and 160,000 miles. I happily drove 200 miles to tenesse to pick this car up due to it being a great deal! on average a 1993 6speed Z28 with 100K miles un-smashed is worth $4800-$5200 and a T/a in the same shap is worth $5000-$6200. If you are seeing those F-bodys for that price then shoot me an email and we will go halfs on them and part them out, we could make a killing! As for your buddy who picked up the Trans Am for $1500, tell him i have $2600 in hand and will pick it up tomorrow! If he is as smart as i hope he is, he will say yes and make some quick cash! LMK either way.

He has allready put in a 355 so he is not selling it for 1500 anymore. You do realize i said that you can get one in rough shape for 1500, why is that so godamn hard to understand? You all keep saying the same ****, a f-body in good shape is worth 4500+. Big ****in deal, im not talking about ones in good shape am I? God damn, read the ****in thread.

You know I read through all 10 pages of this and I can't beleive some of the things that have been said on here. It's dissapointing really that some of our members can be so immature:sad:. All he wanted was to see if he could find someone out there that was willing to trade a 4th gen for his Maxima...nothing else. He NEVER said that all 93's,94's,etc. were going for $1500...just that he had seen some. He NEVER said that the F-body was a piece of junk. He is just a guy trying to find a deal. I can and will attest to everything he's said because I know which cars he's talking about. He is a friend of mine and has put in wrench time along side me on Vishus Z's new toy. I swore then that I would convert him to a 4th gen F-body and all some of you can do is bash on his post, call him names,etc. So, it seems like now he's looking elsewhere for a deal

p.s. good saying"Eggs and cars are always cheaper in the country." I live out in the sticks.....best price I have ever seen on a driveable LT1 would be about 2000-2500 with high miles and rough paint. Its not common, and yes they sell fast and guys probably do turn around and sell them for much more. But yes I have seen them at that price. No I am not saying I would do the trade...just I have seen them for that.

After working on Vicios Z's car, I found that I dont know much about the f-body's and will just stick to what I know. I will still respect and like every f-body i see, just maybe not some of the owners.

I understand both sides of the argument. Slither, I just did a search on your car, private party value and it is $2925 in good value... it looks like you've done some things, so that might bring it down in value. I was just woundering.... if you can get that price, and you can get a decent Z28 for cheaper.... try to get one of these people to do a trade as well as some money locally.... The whole time I was reading your post, I was kinda woundering why you didn't do that in the first place.

BTW. did anyone ever end up going down and buying some of those 1,500 dollar cars?
