that guy isnt only gonna run 5 or 6 psi i gaurantee it, generally people dont just go around and jump to high boost right away. you have to work your way up slowly and tune your pcm right so you dont blow up. just because you have a forged bottom end doesnt mean you can start off running 15psi.

and the guy is running it with a upgraded turbo, meaning the boost will go up in the future. these are just preliminary numbers.

there are sts bashers a plenty on this board for some reason.

Over on ls1.com about a year back these kits were torn apart when the prototype pics were posted. . . . they were down right abusive to the guy. Everyone said it wouldnt make power and would be boggie as hell yadda yadda. These are the same people that spent a fortune on blowers that cant go any faster , added 100# to the nose and make it impossible to work on your engine. He stuck by his guns and proved without a doubt it makes more power per $ than the other kits.

Whens the install on the yellow 02 ?

I was quoted $3,500.00 for a turbo, that got me interested but then the price I was quoted next time was $5,200.00, I've temporarily lost interest with a major price jump.

in all honesty, an $800 nitrous kit will get u far more power for a far better rpm range, aka full power adder ineffect whenever the hell u feel like it

but that being said . i just sold my nitrous kit for boost.. maybe one day i'll scrounge enough for one of these STS kits .. cant wait to see it on Jeepoo's car

If it were my money I would have done a mild heads and cam swap with all the bolt-ons for the same money. However, it isn't my money being spent. I think it's cool that someone is willing to pay a slight premium to make power in a unique way. I think half the fun of moding these cars is to make them different from the next guy's ride.

Good luck Armin; hope it works out for you!

that 3500cdn was when they first were testing the ls1 units and sold em for 2800 usd. i tried to sell one locally to create intrest basically at cost, even take a hit of a few hundred bucks.

now that they arent testing them, usd has gone up a bit, and a change in piping coating procedure, the price has gone up. and i dont NEED to sell a local one anymore, armin bought one. so dont cry about it.

Yup thats true its sts's price jump. I was talking to them about getting my car into the test program ( props to Roy for hooking that up ) . The basic pre production test kit was in that range without the meth injection. I ended up going with the cam and headers as I had the bottle already but this will be my last year with the Nos setup. . . . Ill either lighten the car and do heads or sell my headers and go sts turboed

5200 still pretty cheap when you think about it . . . you pay to play

I don't cry but that much of an increase is totally unreasonable, that's almost a 35% increase.

um unreasonable???? why dont you ask armin how much he paid?? i only stuck by 5200 cause thats whats on my site and wasnt updated. i think i tried to sell a kit to you like around new years, thats when they were doing the prerelease at a discounted price of 2800 usd, hell i cant even get em for that much. if you had jumped on it then youd have a 5500 cdn system for 3500cdn. its not my fault you missed out. and thats not bs, thats reality. you cant get a deal every where.

armin congrats on the clutch install. did you get your sofware yet? the rest of the package? when ever you want to do the install let me know
