First time i ever had to blow at a drinking driving stop

It was kinda cool . I had 2 beers and a shot of tequila in about 2 hours ... I was good to drive, got to the road block .. gave them the usual BS about being the designated driver .. this time it didnt bite .. he made me blow and he's like .. next time dont lie, just tell us how much u've had ..

basically between .050 and .100 u get 1 day suspension .. over .1 ur in deep deep sh*t .. i was at .028 so i was good to go like i though i was

the cop just tossed the blow thingy on the ground though after i blew in it .. he littered .. i felt like asking him to give himself a ticket for littering .. but i just left

whats the deal with that, anyway, isnt the LAW 0.08, if i had, say 0.06 and some cop tried to suspend my license, i'd go ape **** on him... now, dont get me wrong, i dont drink and drive, however, is it a law or a judgement call? this is all crap (like most road laws here)... there's a number, if u blow 0.09, fine, u've broken the law, but if i blew a 0.06, i haven't... man, i hope it happens one day... i'd have a field day with this stupid justice system we have in this country... well, ok, i dont want it to actually happen, but u know what i mean

 

I've never been asked to blow even after serious partying, (touch wood). I leave my keys stashed at home if I'm going to tie one on. Cheers.

 

Technically they can use zero tolerance (anything over 0) if they really suspect you of being impaired. Course, they just usually make you leave your car and have someone esle pick it up.

Obviously the cop knew you were far from impaired, which is good. It pays to be smart and not drink too much when you're driving. Especially when you're driving other people in your car - cops are less likely to be lenient with you if you have a batch of drunken bums all over you.

they can here too if they decide you are impaired, even if you blow a legal value.
