Aircare Question

Ok, I know I might be dreaming, but do you think it is possible to pass Aircare with headers and OR pipe? I thought I saw someone with this set up passed before, not sure. I really do not want to swap the cats unless I really have to. Thx.

Nop, tried it. They didn't pop the hood and it passed visual, but that's it.

Jacks, discarding the numbers that the air-care computer reads, if you don't have cats, they won't even put you on the dyno! I have heard of people welding the cat shields in place, but if you can't beat the puter, what good are they?

Here is a suggestion. Why not make provisions for the cats as well as cat eliminators?? Then when it is air care time, bolt in the cats and run through, after the day is done, bolt in the straight through pipes and you are on your way! Seems like the logical thing to do!

I'm sorry I'm sorry, but don't you remember how long it took us to put the damn cat on when we did my headers? I just didn't think I was capable of puttin it back together. But I guess I'm, it only took a couple of hours

P.S: Matt, I'm using the other cat that I got from you along with the headers. Is that going to enough to pass? Cuz the stock cat is welded onto the stock Y pipe, and there's no way I can get that on.

But knowing ICBC, they might not cover you incase something happens because "The vehicle wasn't insured under the proper usage plan muble jumble"

Ya, I think you only get a week or 2 to re-insure your car in the GVRD. If you wreck after that ICBC will screw you over. No insurance at all. Ive seen it happen a few times.
