168th st accident in surrey
seems to me like everyone in a red bird always hits something, must be something in the brain, if you see someone buying a red bird that means they can't drive
I bet there is a scientific conection between those two

i was at the gym talking to craig bailey before they left he is a good friend of mine, he has refed many hockey games with me , played on a ice hockey team with me and my folks know his, the sad thing is that we where talking at the gym for at least a good 30mins before this occured and u never know whats going to happen next so sad but a fact when young kids with a decent powered car cant control it will happen and will happen agian till soemthing is done. I think my younger brothers school is going to be closed for the week because of this, just so sad that i was with him before it occured
and i thought it could have been sandeep also but glad it was not, and he does live directly behind our home

I don't know many of the details. I'll look for more.
What bothers me about this (other than the deaths) is that in virtualy any other accident, the most specific detail you'd get about the cars is like "a pickup truck" or "a small minivan" or "a motorcycle" was involved in a high speed accident - but when it is a musclecar involved, suddenly the media has to SPECIFICALLY state that it was a Mustang and a Camaro (or Firebird). It's no wonder insurance rates go up on these cars because the media JUMPS all over the story when they hear that the vehicles involved in an accident are of the stereotypically "dangerous" type.
If it was a Honda, nothing would be said about the type of car (other than maybe that it was a high-priced sports car). But since it is a Mustang/Camaro, then all of a sudden the media has to state this and a larger stigma is created in the public's eye towards us. Perhaps I am exaggerating slightly, but I believe the effect is still there.
Sorry for the divergence Blair and sorry to hear that you had a connection to the people.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
It was a third Gen F-body...........
Regardless, tragic accident....
Even though flying the flag at half mass was in violation of the federal rules & regulations, it was a nice gesture on the part of the school where the kids attended.
With power comes the need for experience.... driving a fast car with no experience is a lot like playing with a .45 by pointing the barrel at your own face. Not too bright...
It's very very sad when things like this happen... particularily when they are totally preventable. I am so sorry to hear of the deaths, and my thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those lost in this tragedy.
This should be a lesson to all drivers out there; life is fragile and can be extinguished in a mere second....

This was a very bad crash, there was nothing left of the cars. It is sad when stuff like this happens. This could have easily been prevented. This is why we need to drive sensibly and leave the speeding to the track
especially in this weather. This kind of stuff really makes you think...............one stupid mistake can take it all
