as well as this...
*The position of President is appointed by the founder of the club. The position is held indefinately. In case the position is vacated, the person leaving the position shall choose a replacement. If the leaving party is unable to select a replacement, the membership will elect a new President by popular vote.*

well I will put personal opinion to the side right now..and belive me I have a few..but wont say anything cus I am a nice guy
but anyway you look at it even the fliers that we got..it would seam that both clubs did care..or I thought they did..and maybee not put on by said clubs but they in fact were involved with the show more than the MoT...am I wrong??? so when questions arose about where the D/P were of course they were going to bethe most visible parties..the clubs..since we interact with them at alomst any car show in N. E. ...and naturally if judging and things like that one would asuume that these things would be taken care of by said car clubs..I cant remeber when a parking lot for a car show being held and had to go ask the K Mart it was in for our D/P..thats the idea for the asking of the clubs..and since your on here it made more sense to ask the clubs than an organization that dosnt care about things like D/P's.
but forget about the D/P's...you two car clubs want to know something that is a hush hush problem..Ill tell you outright..
since I am in a pissed off mood..nice timing...
To ALOT of the people that went to the show that are not part of either club..it looked like to them that it was " Our Camaro club is better than your Firebird club..wahh...and visa versa"
the judging was way to unfair for street cars..this was supposed to be FUN??? grass on tires..or side mirror has a water stain..my god one judge was looking over a Camaro and looked at it for a few seconds asked the other one to come here and said.."does that look like a ripple in the paint..yea?? ..should I deduct from that" or something to that effect.. COME ON!
Now I met a few people there and knew alot of people there from previso events..and they ALL said the same thing..you two clubs are having a friendly bickering and anyone thats involved not part of the clubs are just cought in the crossfire..both Firebird and Camaro alike..that for me left a bad taste of the day..
I went there with my car and it was and still is a nice car..but as a daily drive has MANY flaws....
SOME of the cars there in my opinion SHOULD NOT even have been entered into a juding feild..my car was actually clean and in better condition than some of the ones being judged..I put my self in the fun feild..and this goes from everyone that was there..if you want to judge cars..make sure your car is at least as nice as the ones your judging..both Camaros and Firebirds..OK?? cus to me how can you judge a car if you cannot mantain the look of your own..that pissed me off to no end...so if you guys want to bicker about what club is better fine do that on your own time..
All I have to say is if this is to be held again next year..things got to change..I went alone from the "Overdrive Gang" but knew or met about 100 people there..with the same opinion..hmmm 100 poeple saying the event was not fun..thats not good for a 2nd one next year. and thats just me...like I said its hush hush on what some really thought but hey I really dont care what some poeple think..I asked about D/P and its gets tossed around into "car clubs dont care?sarcasm?" maybee they do care..but only about themselfs..get off your high horse will ya..
just soo stupid..and to think this is just a little part of what I thought was worng..I had fun..but not cus of the event but of the poeple I met and the cars..some may hate me for my veiws ut I think I am not alone..no actually I know..so hate me now but guess what word of mouth about bad things get around faster than good news..so I will leave it at that.. K
have a good one guys!

To respond to the many points you have made...
First of all, the show's idea was conceived by the MOT. They approached the ECCC in the spring. The ECCC approached the FFCC. Our responsibility was to promote the show, setup/breakdown and work the show. The MOT was to pay for and order the Dash Plaques and the trophies. The majority of the $ went to the Museum. They laid the groundrules for the show - not the clubs. As I have stated in the past our show is peer judging, not so for the MOT. All of their shows are 100 point judging. The judging guidelines were set by the MOT. Before judging we (the judges) were instructed to judge each car individually, not to make a comparison to any other on the field. I judged the 3rd gen Camaros - as the rule was FFCC to judge the Camaros, ECCC to judge the Firebirds. I spent at least 5 minutes, sometimes going up to 10 on each of the cars I judged, reviewing in detail the guidelines. I will say most of the cars I scored did very, very well. Some of the winners won by only a matter of a point or two.
I understand some of the frustration in dealing with a strict voting list, personally, it was very challenging. I gave every car I judged a fair judgement. I had no problem in explaining my criteria and scoring. I was more than happy to turn my ballots over. I discussed the criteria with some people after the show, standing behind all of my decisions. I cannot speak for every single judging decision, as I didn't judge more than 16 cars.
This event with the MOT is a first, having the cars with the youngest history be part of their event schedule. I thought that there was a great variety and most of the cars were beautiful, as did many people from our club. The Museum has asked us to do the show again next year, they were pleased with the host clubs and the turnout as well. I am sorry to see you disappointed after all of our hard work. I thought that an all f-body show was something really nice to have added to the rotation of "regular" all vehicle shows.
As far as some of the cars on the judging field, I believe the turnout was similar to that of other car shows, you get your pristine cars, your daily drivers and those that are not quite up to par. I don't think anyone should have been excluded from the show.
To me, it's not about who has the best club, or the best car - it's about having fun. It's always been about that for us. If you don't like our club no one has to join, you don't even have to join any club - as the majority of people don't. Just to point out the majority of the car shows that are out there are organized by car clubs, and countless hours are spent on organizing them for people to meet and have a good time. I am not or have ever been on any high horse. And if you want to bad mouth us or our events, that's okay, too - that's your opinion and you are certainly entitled to it.
Thanks.

well like I said I am not going to bad mouth an event but I was inquiring about a D/P..nothing more..and things got way out of hand.....and I did not say your club..or any other ones but I know that it was way too much for a fun time...if its the MoT fault of the judging..thats fine..Im just saying that alot of the poeple I knew came for the show just to show there car and have funn..I DID have fun...but....the clubs to me and alot of poeple I knew saw diffrent..and as I stated word of mouth..that would be the mail factor in deciding next time..will I go again SURE..but I think there would be diffrent things again..and also explaning things like you have and others gives us an insight on whats the parameters are on "judging"...its just something that some poeple vent at bad times..like I did..why cus Iwanted to..
as I did..my right as yo usaid...but..hey all is good..just got to make sure the REAL show is for the fans of the F-Body not for the MoT..
