Thumbs down

Well Dave, it looks as though the two sponsoring clubs are going to be no help. As with the other thread, it was brushed off and put it into the attendee's hands to try to get them. We filled out those forms because the plaques were supposedly not made yet and they were going to mail them. Who's show was it? One of the CTFBA guys recently compiled a list of all of their guys that were there and was going to send it in hopes of getting some response. ...If that doesn't work, I am giving up.

I am quite surprised to see that our club is getting part of the blame here. I did not brush it off to the Museum at all, both Mike from the ECCC and I have been trying to resolve this issue. If it had been one of our clubs who placed the order for the plaques they would have been provided at the show (much like we do at our events). The MOT are the ones who agreed to purchase, order and send out the plaques and trophies. Regardless, I have contacted the ECCC and the MOT, and below is the response from the MOT. The ECCC will be getting some plaques and the remainder are being sent out by the MOT. As I have stated before, you can contact the Museum directly to make sure they are sending you one.

a meeting that I could drop them by, I thought this would save on
mailing, those that are not at the meeting we will surely send thier plaque.
Elln

I know specifically the ECCC was sending out 15 plaques to the CTFBA.

I received the below email from the ECCC regarding theis matter.

Elln,
Can we get the plaques in the mail?
We'll help with the postage if necessary..
If you want, send me all the plaques... and the paperwork folks filled out
and the ECCC will mail out to all.

Roxie,
I don't monitor z28.com.
I've gotten one e'mail on this.. from the CT club folks... hopefully
their's are in the mail??? I don't know what to tell you..
As for these other comments... I assume you're answering for both clubs..
because nobody has contacted me.

If the ECCC had and extra 200 bucks I'd have some plaques made up and send
them out.. but we don't. We'll have to take a
serious look at next year at the Museum.
Feel free to post the above on z28.com... Mike

To all those F-Body owners that exhibited their cars at the MOT on 21 Jul 02-THE DASH PLAQUES are in the mail. I received mine yesterday.
They are a very high quality brass plate electroengraved with the "Carriage House". They measure 3.5 x 2.5 inches engraved with the LARZ ANDERSON AUTO MUSEUM/CAMARO AND FIREBIRD DAY/july21,2002.
I'm sure that next year they will be better prepared for us!!
Best regards to all,
Rick

The Quote you used is NOT from our bylaws, it is an officer's statement.

The following IS from our bylaws:

"To unite owners and entusiasts of the Pontiac Firebird musclecar lineage. To provide a forum for owners and enthusiasts so that they may be allowed to associate with others of the same. To foster, encourage and promote interest in the Pontiac Firebird and provide information on all generations of the vehicle. To promote good sportsmanship at any events in which any member of the Firebirds Forever Car Club is representing the FFCC. To conduct the orginazation in an ethical and professional manner at all events, public or private."
Which is what I stand by - if you must get technical.
