dynoed at ESP in Sterling, MA
One of my friends, formerly a 97 Z28 owner, recently bought a 2005 GTO A4 (LS2) and he wanted to dyno it. We haven't been to the dyno since Dean sold NEDT and now it's in Douglas - further away from us. But last year I was made aware of Enhanced Street Performance in Sterling, MA, which is just the next town over from us. So, having Friday off for Veterans Day we signed up for some pulls along with another guy who has a 71 Skylark 455 with baby cam, intake, headers, & exhaust.
I was impressed by the size of the shop and how much they have going on. I don't know who these people are who are their customers since I never see these cars on the road but they must have had 6 cars in play in the shop. They do a lot of tuner cars but there was a Stang, a 64 GTO, and a new 300C with a supercharger (cool).
Last time I dynoed at Dean's with the mods listed in my sig EXCEPT with the stock shortblock. It pulled 375 rwhp @ 6000 and 359 tq @ 4800. Now I've lowered the CR in prep for the blower and also started a new tune with the OBD2 pcm. So my afr was off. Now this is a Mustang dyno which reads lower than a dynojet (much debate on that). My car pulled 337 rwhp @ 5600. AFR was good up to 4500 where it dropped to 11.5 and stayed below 12 thru 6000. Tq was 343 @ 4500.
The GTO pulled 328 rwhp @ 6000 and 314 tq @ 4600. Bone stock. Damn with his higher A4 drivetrain loss I think he's actually outpowering me at the flywheel.
The Skylark pulled 263 rwhp @ 4600 and 366 tq @ 3000. Yeah he'll be needing a bigger cam!
Immediately after the dyno we starting installation of my Racetronix fuel pump kit. Tried dropping the tank. WTF was GM thinking? After wasting many hours I gave up and cut the access hole. Unfortunately by dropping the tank I disturbed my fuel lines which run in this tiny lip of the gas tank under some supports. I noticed a couple of the lines were crossing. We tried to fix and I couldn't see them crossing anymore so I'm just hoping there is enough room there so as not to crush them. Car ran good on the way home but it was raining today so I really couldn't get on it. Have to keep an eye on it.
Anyway if you've read this far - perhaps we could do a dyno day at ESP next year. I've not seen one there from this forum. Indeed I'm not sure if any have been held since Dean left.

I would consider it more Central Mass. North of Worcester. They are less than 5 min from the 190.
