Zex systems Question? and Opinions?

I am considering a small shot of juice 75-125hp and like the simple Zex kits.
I also like the use of WOT activation coming from the pcm tp circuit (splicing into the tp signal to the pcm) used by Zex.

Does anyone know how Zex kits monitor and adjust for different bottle pressures?

What is in the purple "NMU" box besides the solenoids, and how does it work?

I am leaning towards the dry kit, because I have already upgraded my fuel system. And am going with a small "squirt".

Anyone have good or bad experiences with a Zex kit?

Thank you in advance for any input!

Re: Zex systems Question? and Opinions?

I did quite a bit of reading on various boards and most people seem to be pretty happy with the kits.
I like the tps activation and the quicker ,cleaner install. It may be a bit of problem if you have to get to the solenoids but would think you just take the purple box apart.
I went with a wet kit on my lt1.I didn't want to worry about fuel injectors.
You get lots of opinons on the wet and dry.For a small shot would think either are fine.
Not sure exactly how it controls air fuel with bottle pressure but it should be a good thing.
As to how it works well kit hasn't shown up here yet still ordered.Install will likley happen this spring when car is taken out of storage.
I am hoping to see a mid 12 minimum out of my car with the zex kit and the following mods..cc305,3.42 gears,2800 vig,1.6 pro mags, asp underdrive balancer, air induction, maft, hpp, gms maf.Likely run some nitto drags or et street radials or some older bfg drags buddy wants to sell me.
Car won't be track legal on nitrous though without rollbar and may be kicked off na if it breaks 13.5 unless can say its pure stock under new pure stock rules but kinda doubt that.LOL

Thanks for the input!

By the way..

If the cc305 is similar to the "hot cam" add a set of long tubes to your plan,
and you will do better than mid 12's.

I have never run my car in the 1/4 mile yet at a track, but have no problem walking away from stock to light modded C5's, and 2, 03-04 Cobra's (must have been stock) 2-3 cars at the end of 3rd, and still pulling away.

P.S. Don't buy the older tires, the rubber does get hard with age.

Re: Zex systems Question? and Opinions?

The 305 is very simlar to the hot cam just slightly more aggressive I think and on 114 lsa which should be slightly more nitrous friendly.
I am at 1900 altitude here and that makes our cars a bit slower than some of the guys at sea level tracks.
My z28 vert did a best of 14.3 at 95 with a raceweight of 3800 pounds.
2.18 60ft on nittos.Track prep was zero that day!!Mods at the time were
magnaflow catback,1le bellows,tb bypass, hpp for gears only and fans,160 stat and slp manual fan switch,g2 induction and holley filter.Maf translator. and 3.42 gears.
Remember the verts are pretty heavy.
So now have waiting for install my asp underdrive balancer,1.6 pro mags, comp cams 305,vig 2800, and zex wet kit.Would think that should get me a mid 13 off spray at my altitude and maybe a bit lower if could get a 2.0 or so at our crappy track.

So thats why figure the 125 shot would likely only get me a mid 12 or so but maybe be pleasantly suprised. If money permits this year might get some mac jet hots and next year maybe some heads, injectors and bigger tb.Thats about all the planned mods for that car.
