Shark Nozzel ???

I purchased the NX GM EFI with the shark nozzel. The sleeve that holds the nozzel doesn't thread on all the way. When I crank it down tight, the nozzel tip is only sticking out about 1/4 inch. The fuel hole isn't even flush with the nut.

Is this correct ? These are brand new parts. I thought you would want the nozzel sticking as far in the intake track as possible.

The sleeve that holds the nozzle should be black. And should be feed from the inside on the air tube. Then the black nut installed and tightened down. The shark nozzle should screw all the way in till the last thread on until tight. The new parts seems to always get to or near the lasat thread on the shark nozzle. The main thing here is that the nozzle bath tube area is in the air intake track and is not covered up in any way. Also to make the that the bulk head or sleeve (nut) is on the out side of the tube. If this part is installed wrong the nut can come loose and go down into your intake..This would be bad. On our website there is detail instruction on placement and installation of that part under stage 1 efi instructions. Hope this helps.

Re: Shark Nozzel ???

Ricky, Thats the way I've got. Black sleeve on the inside and black nut on the outside. But even cranked down the "bath tube" is about 1/32" from being fully exposed. I would feel alot better if it was 1/16" out.

Should I just put it in a vise and crank'r down another thread or so, or should I send it to you?

Nevermind, a vise and 1/2" drive rachet fixed the problem.
