Zex and Hot Cam?

HEY YO,

I've decided to maybe bite the bullet and go with a N2O setup on my car. I have been really looking in to the Zex Lt1 kit and i like its completeness and easy useability. Would this be the optimum setup up to run with my mods? Is there another brand or setup u all think would work better? Thanx for the opinions as always guys, peace.

Question

Im with you on this post...but kind of the other way around. I already have the complete zex kit and I would not trade it for anyother. Installed it all myself and has worked perfectly since. My problem is that lately I have been seening all these great deals on LT 1 cam/kit packages. I can no longer resist these great prices and have decided to purchase a cam kit this weekend. I am not too sure though on which kit to purchase Does anyone have any recommendations. Has to be emissions legal and somewhat n2o friendly. What cam are you guys running with nitrous?? Also, I have LT 1 edit (on the way) for OBD II...so computer editing wont be a problem.

I just purchased a ZEX wet kit and puge for my car yesterday. I got a really good deal $644.00 for the 82023 N20 kit and 82010 Purge kit shipped. On the ZEX site it goes for $850 + shipping

I am spraying on a hotcam. It runs great.

With tuning I am 99% sure you can pass the sniffer with a hotcam. Also from what I have been reading here you dont need a custom nitrous cam with shot under 200hp.

Did you get your zex kit off Ebay. I did. I also saved about the price of the inline fuel pump on the basic kit. I bought heater, electirc fuel & mech n2o guages, custom purge parts and remote bottle opener(MUST HAVE..KIT SUCKS ON STREET WITHOUT IT) all at various other websites) Ended up being about a $1400 job...but was well worth it.

Are you happy with your hotcam kit? How much power did your car put down with the cam kit? I have read/heard that hotcams are somewhat n2o friendly and can be emissions legal with tuning. However, everything else Ive read about the hotcam says that they were/are disappointed with the power...or wish they would have went bigger. Are there any bigger cams that can be made to pass emissions and work a with a little n2o? If not, them it seems that a hotcam will be about my only choice. I have to be able to make it pass emissions. Ill let you all know what I purchase.
