Is this Safe?

Hi guys,

I recntly finished up my current build which consisted of a new oem 4 bolt main shortblock and AI H/C package. The cam is very mild but is great for the street. Rest of mods are in my sig. Do you think it would be safe to hit this motor with a 100 shot? I would would most likely go with the plate kit from Nitrous Outlet and all the necessary equipment to pull timing...etc.

What do you think?

A stock LT1 can handle a 125-shot with no problems. You shouldn't have an issues with a 100-shot.

Sounds good to me, with a decent tune.

Thanks. Do I need to pull timing for a 100 shot? If I get the car tuned for the nitrous, will that hurt my performance when not on the bottle?

I was thinking that I could use my current tune, which is somewhat conservative and just use an aftermarket igintion to pull a couple of degrees when I arm the nitrous.

Do you think that is a good way to do it? Based on all the reading and searches I have done, that might be an option.

Also, what is a safe rpm to spray? I dont want to be too hard on the motor.

Thanks for your advice.

I wouldn't spray below 3,000rpm. Yes, I would pull some timing with the nitrous. 2-4 degrees.
