question about placement of gauge/filter

I have the TNT f1 kit.

In the instructions, it shows the pressure guage coming directly off the bottle nut, then the 5" line, then the filter, then the mainline.

However, the guage DOES NOT fit off the bottle nut...it will work however off the filter.

Would it matter that instead of doing "bottle/guage/line/filter/mainline" I do "bottle/line/filter/guage/mainline"

I tried all possibilities, and this is the only set up that will work...I am using the guage that comes with the kit instead of a nitrous guage in the cockpit...

thanks
