Q about blowdown

I´m using a 100shot NX, and I just got a blowdown tube. Is this ment to replace the stock safety cap? It looks like this:

and the bottle valve looks like this:

Yes, you have to empty the bottle and take off the standard blow off valve. With the blow down tube should have come a NHRA safety cap. It has -8 threads on it, for the tube to screw onto.

What You see on the picture is what I got from the store. Is there something missing?

Yep, just empty the bottle, and replace the old one with the new one. Make sure you follow the instructions on installing the safety disc. Don't over tighten the fitting. I think it's like 14 ft. lbs.

I got no installation, just the tube and the "fitting" You see on the picture. Nothing else. This safety disc You´re talking about, what´s that and what does it look like?

It's a small silver disc. It should say 3000 lbs on it. It's located behind the fitting. I suppose you could reuse the one that's already there.

If you can blow air through the new fitting, it doesn't have the disc in it. Your stock fitting must have one, so when you unscrew it (with bottle empty), just check for the disc in there, and reuse it. It's been long enough since I did mine, I don't remember all the various parts, but I'd think it'll be pretty clear when you pull the stock fitting out.
