Bikes are very easy to vary your mph on if you don't tuck real well and consistent. He can actually work on his tuck on the rear stand with a camera. Just keep trying things until he makes the smallest footprint on the bike. Then on the track you perfect it by moving until you feel no air on your helmet or back and a little push on your behind.

Depending on how long his extensions are he should be getting 1.4 or 1.5s on his 60s. I know guys on stock busa's that aren't very good that 60 at 1.7s stock wheelbase and run 9.7 with just a slip-on.

As far as Maxton goes..........fear the kink!!! There is a "turn" on the track a ways out that big bikes hit at 120+ WFO!! It's fun.
