Need a new fuel set up

You can see my mods on my site. I am running a 200hp 2 stage nozzle kit now and I am burning the number 7 plug off when I use the N2o. I figure that I am not getting enough fuel at the end of the fuel rail. has anyone modded. their ruel rail to cure this problem? HOW?

Welllll.... #7 is at the end of the line, closest to the return end. But I have seen stock rails support up to 1,000HP without starving #7. Have you checked your fuel pressure? You may have to run in excess of the stock levels.

I had a -6AN fitting welded to the back end of each of the fuel rails. The fuel line splits in a "Y" and puts fuel into the back end of each rail. I had a -6AN fitting welded to the diagonal "cross-over" pipe on the front of the rails to serve as the return line, and hung a Weldon fuel pressure regulator under the cowl to control pressure in the system. In effect, the passenger rail only has to handle about 1/2 of the total flow, rather than 100% of fuel demand plus return. And the drivers side rail sees the same pressure at #1 as the passenger side sees at #2. So far it has provided extremely uniform fuel flow to all 8 cylinders, with a 300-shot on a 381ci engine, total about 800crankHP.

What do you think about cutting the( fuel in line) And putting a t fitting there and then running 2 lines to the top of the fuel rail plumbed in the center and still use the factory regulator and return outlet? Or just maybe go to the drivers side rail with 1 line?I Hope you can follow this.

Re: Need a new fuel set up

Let me pull this from the grave. I fixed it from burning #7 by putting a crossover in. Now I am burning number 6 cylinder plug. All others look fine. I even switched injectors....

You might be getting a poor fuel quality and it just happens. If you want the best fix I would do a stand alone with higher octane so you can run around on regular, and add unleaded race gas on the spray.
