need help with NOS fuel pump install

need help with NOS fuel pump install

I got it all mounted. Adn I intalled the plastic clip on the adapter. But when I slide it into the fuel line it doestnt hold. I dont understand what holds the adapter in the line. The clip wont stay on the line. Im thinking they sent me the wrong peice. Please someone help.

Which pump do you have? Is it the NOS 15763 pump with barb fittings?????

Its the newer style pump. And the instructions are for the older pump. I could not figure it out. I got the relays, lines, switches, noids, and the rest installed, but I can not figure outhow that clip holds it. I would think it should be designed like how the filter was with that lip. Any suggestions.

Once you have the hoses pushed up on the hose barbs on the pump, you use hose clamps on each end. The instructions i believe tell you to use two on each end, I think the kit comes with 5 0r 6 total. I probably have a copy if you need one.

I clamed the plastic piece to the adapter. i clamped the lines together. it still leaked. I must be missing something. that plastic peice will not stay on the adapter
