I personally wouldn't bother with it. I just don't see why you would trust an inline pump with the stock in-tank pump. Once the in-tank goes I would imagine that the inline pump wouldn't be able to pump either. So if that is the case then it would be a waste of money to install one. I'm just gonna be changing the stock in-tank with a walbro 255, this way I know that the pump is brand new, I would feel more comfortable with that setup.

you really think an in-line pump isnt worth it?
however i changed my fuel pump (stock) one just like 10k ago at the dealer, yes i was dumb at the time which was like 2 years ago...so im thinking my stock one should be ok?

i wanted an intank but install is close to 300 bones

I bought the NOS 5176 kit in 1995, and it had a part #15764 inline pump included. That is one of the best fuel pumps you can buy.... it is made by Bosch, and is original equipment in the Turbo Porsche. Accel sells the same pump with their label on it, and claims it is good for 750HP (it isn't, at least not in high pressure fuel injection service). I ran the inline pump continuously for 5 years, and it easilly provided the 90psi required by the 150-dry shot.

The shop that built my engine loves them. I got an identical pump (Bosch 984) and set it up as the in-tank pump, supporting 500HP N/A, and reused my 7-year old NOS pump as an outboard pump, running off a sump in the tank for extra capacity when spraying (300-dry shot).

I believe NOS went to a cheaper pump to include in the 5176 kit around 1997, so you have to look at the part #'s very carefully.

Well I guess it would depend on the size shot that you want to use. I don't see how an inline fuel pump would give you more flow because as far as I know it can only pump as much as the stock pump will allow. For that matter, you already have a new in tank so you wouldn't need the inline. If you would need more flow then you would need to change that in-tank pump to accomplish that. Do you understand where i'm coming from here? The 255 lph fuel pumps aren't that much either, a GMS pump in summit is only $125.95!!

When you "stack" pumps... i.e. - put them in series.... the flow/pressure curves also "stack". At the same pressure the two pumps will flow more volume. At the same volume, they will flow at a higher pressure. As long as they are not seriously mismatched on flow volume capability, they will work fine together, and increase the capability of your system in terms of both flow and pressure.
