Main n2o feed line routing problem...
So I began the install yesterday of my Dynotune wet nitrous kit with a buddy. To run the 16' feed line (bottle will be mounted in spare tire well) we crossed the trunk and under the carpeting on the driver side (above the gas tank) there was a rubber gromet which popped out and we dropped the line out of the car and then zip-tied it to one of the fuel lines and followed that all the way to the front. Only problem is, when we got towards the front of the car, behind the front wheel well (where the fuel lines pass through into the engine compartment) we ran out of line :s
I am happy with the way it's routed right now so can I just buy like a 5' extension and a fitting to join the 2 lines together and it will work? Or would it be better to just buy a custom 21' brand new line??
I'll post pics when I'm done.

Sure. What does the 16-ft line terminate with - a male -AN of a female -AN? Usually they are female, but you should be able to find a 5-ft line with the correct end to fit directly on the end of the 16-ft line. If you end up needing to hook together two female ends, just get a fitting with male on both ends, and use it as a coupling.
Sounds like you went the long way around.

Yes that's right it's a 4AN female. So you suggest a 4AN male for the inlet of new line? That's a good idea.
The other thing I thought about while doing a search on ls1tech someone with a similar problem decided to put his nitrous filter in between the two nitrous feed lines which joined together at the filter. That seems also like a good idea to me because it's one less item to clutter up under the hood Plus it would place the filter closer to the bottle which is what's recommended. Only thing is my nitrous filter has a 4AN in with a npt fitting out (it was made to fit directly into the nitrous solenoid) but I'm sure I could probably get a npt female to 4AN out fitting adapter??
For the routing, I did take the long way LOL I heard it is not rcommended running the line inside the car but in retrospect it would have been much more simple to run it in the car along the passenger side .

My bottle is in the hatch well, the line runs out the side of the well, and follows the fuel lines (also braided S/S) to the front. It goes behind the driver's front fender plastic liner, and the solenoids and purge are in the space right behind the headlight. I have my filter bolted directly to the bottle.

It's a dry 300-shot.

Re: Main n2o feed line routing problem...
I've seen your setup while doing a search a while back it's real nice... I thought about moving my bottle to the driver's side in the rear like you have as that would give me about 3' of extra line, but I have these real sweet 860 Performance brackets that allow me to mount the bottle perfectly in the spare tire compartment so I'm not going to start second guessing where the bottle is going to go.

I'm moving mine to the rear seat hump if I ever get around to it. I bought the mount about 3 years ago...... no time to work on the car any more.

Re: Main n2o feed line routing problem...
Just got done drilling the holes and mounting the 860 performance bracket...
And here is where I've run the line:
From there it grabs onto a fuel line and we've zip tied it all the way to the front. 16 foot is just not long enough though. My line extension should be coming in soon and like I said earlier I will use my nitrous filter to join the two lines together under the car. I will post full pics of the install when I'm done Thanks for the help.

Re: Main n2o feed line routing problem...
Thanks
I got done running the main line. didn't go as smooth as I hoped...
It was fine, just that I couldn't use my filter to join the two lines as I planned because they join together behind the front fender and so it would obv. be a pain in the a** to change or clean the nitrous filter in the future.
I had to use the fitting I ordered for my filter, which I joined with an extra 4AN to 1/8 npt fitting I had lying around which I joined with some teflon paste...
Hopefully it will be ok... I know ideally a simple male/male -4 fitting would have been the best thing. I will check for leaks once the install is finished.

And here's where I ran it
This pic was before I reinstalled the jacking support so it's acutally very snug against the chassis...
For now just zip-tied it to the fuel line under the hood and duct-taped it off until I can finish the install. I tried to pass it through the rubber gromet where the fuel lines come into the engine bay but I really had to force the line through and it was extremely tight I didn't want to damage the fuel lines so I took it back out and left it out of the gromet which is loose for now... maybe I'll cut a slot into it for the n2o line at some point...

Re: Main n2o feed line routing problem...
Finally got done with this LOL... What a PITA it turned out to be. Because of clearance issues, had no choice but to put the nitrous filter between the 2 n2o lines. I couldn't put the 5' line in the front though b/c that would put the filter behind the wheel well and there is no room there. Had to take out the 5' line, run the 16' towards the front and put the 5' line on the bottle and put the filter after that. At least it ended up working out since now the filter is in a relatively easy location to get to:
Here's where I will mount the nitrous/purge solenoids:
Also got done drilling the hole in the 1LE boot for the nozzle and removed the schraeder valve with a valve core remover. Got my NGK TR6's yesterday had to order them online b/c no local parts stores had the right ones (#4177) This weekend will go to a friend's house for help with wiring... Should be done by next week hopefully so I can give it a shot
