Mad Z28 tune-how much timing to pull?

My PCM is tuned by Ion for the premium gas tune so I know he has the timing advanced a few degrees but I am not sure exactly by how much.. I also have the Mallory 685 box that has the built in timing retard. My question is how much total timing will I need to pull out for both a 100 shot and a 150 shot in respect to the Madz28 tune as well? All help is as always appreciated.

Re: Mad Z28 tune-how much timing to pull?

i just recently sent him an email about this. for the 93 bolt on tune, he only advances 1 degree.
today i sprayed the 150 at 4 degrees total, which on the mallory showed up as 5.0.
hope that helps

Ask Ion. Only he knows the answer to your question, based on where he set the timing tables.

As long as it's not detonating on the motor tune then it should always be safe to just pull 2 degrees per 50 hp.
