28lb ls1 injectors on a bolton lt1 with dry kit
Hey guys,
Am wondering if it would be a good idea to get some used 28lb ls1 injectors for a full bolton lt1 car (stock motor except roller rockers) as added insurance. I plan on running a max 125h dry kit with a good fuel pump kit (have not decided wich one yet, any recommendations)?
Would it be better to just step up to bigger injectors right now for the future? Whats a new set worth? I have tunercat and can tune for bigger injectors, but am knid of under the impression that 28lbs would be fine, anything bigger might be tougher to tune right.
Thanks.

As far as the fuel pump goes look in to a racetronix pump.

I'd reprogram and go with 30LB SVO's....(With a reprogramed PCM)they were fine all the way from when my engine was nearly stock, and now with the mods in my sig....and they never once gave a problem with the 80-90 LB pressure spike exerted on them from my last dry nitrous kit..

I think what Ion meant to say was :
A 28# LS1 injector is no different "flow" wise that a 24# LT1 injector, so you would be gaining nothing.
Size the injectors correctly for your bolt-on engine without the nitrous. The dry kit bumps the fuel pressure to add the extra fuel. Make sure the type of injectors you pick will work with the elevated fuel pressures that you use with a dry kit. A pintle style injector is prefered. The stock ball/seat injectors do no like high fuel pressures.
They will flow the same or less as stock injectors (difference in pressure) and they might not seal properly either.

Cool, thanks guys.
So you agree that quality new 30lb injectors should support a bolton motor withy upto 125 shot. What about a 355 with ported heads/cc306 cam and 125 shot? If not, might look into going bigger then 30lb.
Will look into a racetronix pump.
Thanks guys,
Igor.
