Its definately possible and you will get you some good results. You will probably start off spraying it in second and third like you planned then you will slowly start spraying it a little sooner then a little more then before you know you'll be spraying out of the hole too! Its pretty addicting! The reason it works so good out of the hole is because let's say for example you have a motor that makes 300hp at 5600rpms-well that same motor would make quite a bit less hp at say 2800 rpms where you launch. Just for an example that same motor may be making 180 or 200 hp at 2800 rpms then you spray 100 hp to it you have rasied the power produced at lauch by 50% or 60% or maybe even more depending on a lot of things like the motor itself and converter used. Spraying it in second and third will be lot of fun but once you try that you will be hooked on nitrous and you will be wanting to spray it out of the hole. One alternative is to run a set up like I do on my car which is a two stage system. I run a 75hp shot out of the hole then add another 100hp to it once it gets rolling. I am doing that now for much the same reason you are concerned about spraying out of the hole-I don't want to break anything. I have a stock trans, conv. and rear in my car now but soon they will be upgraded and I will be spraying 175 out of the hole and having a blast!

Seems that your exposure to cars like this is very limmited. Where is it you live in, the mountains? If you think that I'm full of s h i t and car's of this sort don't see some road time then all I can say is put your money where your month is!

I'm in Grand Rapids, MI where are you at? I couldn't see from your profile becuase obviously you don't want anyone knowing how to get to you. I was going to offer especially if the money is there and your remotely close to come to you with a few of these car's. I can come with a hand full of 8 second street car's and at least 2 other street car's that run in the 7's and oh ya they see some street time and they do go further then the drive way! D I C K!

If you want to see horsepower throw out some cash and me and you can run. Your even in luck because I have a turbo charged Hayabusa that puts up 428hp at the rear wheel with boost turned up but for street driven it's scalled back to 389hp, I will even leave it in street mode to race against your 1000!

Just let me know.

"I can testify, i know jwinn personally. and even though he is a *****"

Now that's funny!

Like those wheels a? They will look even better when I show the nonbelievers them when I'm driven the car down 28th Street with them on. Not to mention the sweet 4" oval dual exhaust that will be Jet Hot coated. It will be time for the talk to end by those in town.

Thank,
Jim

I did and I replied with a PM. I would love to but my car is at the chassis shop still awaiting the motor from ARE to finish up my engine some day.

Go to this site and post your race www.gofastzone.com. Many of the guy's in my home town are always on the board and many still have there car's togther. If fast street cars are what you guy's looking for you will get it on that site. I know a few friends that are looking to race in a few weeks at the Brown County race in IN. in a few weeks.

Check the site and post the date and if there is any prize monies offered because I'm quite sure members on the site would come especially if cash is involved. There are quite a few 7 second street car's on the site and a whole lot of 8 second street car's.

Let us know if another will be held in the spring because I will be more then happy to come and play and I can coax some others to run.

I almost forgot a Hayabusa is a motorcycle.

Jim

Driven on the street and street car are not equivalent terms. No AC means it's not a street car, in my book!

My point is that there is no accepted definition of a street car. You don't need AC, I do. Jim is a guy that apprears to know his stuff and to be a straight shooter, and I don't doubt him for a minute. But I am pretty sure that the 7 second cars he is talking about would not be my choice of a street ride.

I don't claim to know everything (close though!). But the fastest "street" cars I know of are high nine second cars. That's because my definition of a street car is pretty strict. Among other things is that it must be legal in terms of emissions equipment for the locale it's titled in. Have creature comforts like AC, mufflers, full interior, wipers, heater, etc. Run on pump gas. Etc. Other people have totally different definitions. But almost any car can be driven on the street. We once did some minor testing of an alcohol blown Hemi altered on a deserted street. It could have been driven to the 7-11 that was around the corner. Does that make it a street car? Yes, to some.

woohoo my car came from the factory as a race car

1LE = no creature comforts for me, other than winning

its a good point though. street legal, streetable, street car, and daily driver are totally different ideas

Woodward Dream Cruise 2002 here in the Michigan hot and humid summer... The 604cid, twin turbo, black 70 Chevelle that runs NMCA Pro Outlaw was seen and recorded CRAWLING in cruise traffic, everyone...The car has made WELL over 2000hp and runs well into the 6's in the 1/4. Talk about awesome!

Oh! and yes I cruise right along-side him!
