Fuel pump...

I'm thinking about upgrade my fuel system. My car has over 100,000 on it and I'd just like to be safe and be able to run a 100 shot if I want. What you suggest, a new aftermarket in tank pump, or just put an in line in?

Thanks

An in-line shoud meet your needs, depending on what type of NOS you run.

It's a NX wet kit. I wouldn't run any thing more than a 100 shot. I was also wandering if it would be chaper to go with the in-tank Walbro?

Its about the same, I would go with whats easier which would be the in-line.
I hate the thought of removing the gas tank

I do too. If I went with the in-take pump I would go the route of cutting the hole in the hatch area. Any suggestions on a brand of in-line?

NOS makes a good booster pump, That s what I run.
You can get it from summit or you can go with a MSD
for about haft the price.

NOS-----$200.00 Summit supports up to 700 HP
MSD-----$100.00 Racenet supports up to 500 HP

a little 100 shot??? You don't need a fuel pump, don't waste your money. If u want safety buy a $40 FPSS and call it a day. STock fuel pump is good up to a 150 shot, after that it could get hairy(this is on a stock motor Lt1 BTW, if you have cams/heads diff story)

I've got a FPSS and a fuel pressure gauge. So you thank a stock fuel system with over 100,000 can handel a 100 shot?

IMO I would be safe than sorry, Its worth the money to up-grade your fuel system when you want to spray.

I've found the Walbros on ebay new for right around $100. You
should take a look. I just don't know if I want to do in-line or in-tank.

if you'll look in the GP section you'll see the racetronix kit comes with all the hardware to install it properly in your camaro as where the one on e-bay is just the pump which will not fit into your orginal fuel bowl.

I ran the stock pump with a T-Rex inline pump and was shooting a 200 shot with no problems. I kept the O2s up in the 900 range just to be safe so basically I was running rather rich.

Just a note you can get the Holley to fit in the stock bowl you just have to work at it a bit and use a fine bit of sticky stuff to assure that the top doesnt come off. We did this on a buddy of mine's 93 Z and its still running fine with no problems at all. Just my .02 but if I was you I would go with the inline cause it is much easier to install and will be more than enough for you.
