DOT bottle recertification cost

DOT Recertification of bottles is every 5 years right?
How much does it cost to get it done?
Thanks!

Check with Shore Motorsports. I "think" they charged $35, plus a fill for a total of $65 or something close to that. It's been a couple years since I've had one recertified.

Re: DOT bottle recertification cost

Just about any welding supply store that does oxygen/accetylene refills can have a nitrous bottle hydrotested and recertified. Been a few years, but I recall it being out $30.00 or so...

Re: DOT bottle recertification cost

First, the recertification is 5 years from the last date stamped on the cylinder. You can take it to most fire extinguisher servicing companies. Most shops do high pressure hydrotesting for CO2 cylinders, so they could do it for you. I work part time for a buddy of mines fire extinguisher shop and do all the high pressure testing. We charge about $15 to test one.
