Cool Buildup for the NOSzle kit... Some questions inside......

Building for a 300 shot using the NOSzle kit...
O ringing is going to be done to the block, but will I need to use studs also ?

What will the optimum CR be for a shot like that ?

Can I replace the NOS solenoids with the NX ones ?

I cannot wait to see this the nossels seem like such a great idea but I have not seem anyone test them. here all all of my comments and I have a lot. I would not stud the heads becasue I dont think you will be able to get them back off with the motor still in the car and it would suck to have to pull the engine just to have to take a head off. The CR is not should not be that big of a concern if you do not have detonation issue. If you could run 50:1 and have not detonation you could spray just fine. Unfortunatly in real life you cannot do that. What gas do you plan on running? pump gas I would say keep the CR under 12:1 with a 300shot I would build a seperate fuel system that runs just the N20 and fill it with race gas. My mom allways said an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Yes you can replace NOS noid with NX noids. I used to have an NOS kit i replace 4 noids on it. I now have a NX kit and have had no problems with it. I want to see how the nylon hoses work out NOS has used them for years on personal water craft and snow mobiles but neither of those have under hood heat issue like a car. If one of those hoses cooks what happens? nitous all over the engine? not that that is a big deal bit one cylinder is down a lot of power about 40 hp to the rest. His are they going tp effect the fuel flow from the inector and how dow you bolt down the fuel rails? LS1 and 4.6 rustangs fuel railes are not fitted to the intake manifold like an LT1. A direct port system is a much more proven way to make that kind of power without all the questions. but at the same time you could say the same about carbs and FI years ago I am glad people like your self left tried and true carbs to try that crazy new fuel injection. I think the NOSsels are a similar deal.

Cool

So do you guys think that Oringing and some ARP head bolts will be ok ?

I am thinking about a 1.10:1 CR, but i'm not sure on that. I want to try to avoid as much detontation as possible..... Only time i'll be running anything near the 300 shot would be at the track with some race gas. Maybe a 75 shot on the street...

I don't think the hoses will ahve any problems, but if they seem like it, I'll replace them with some aeroquip stuff

I don't think the fuel rails will be as big of a deal as everyone thinks. All you would have to do is put the proper spacers in the fuel rail bolts.

From what I've seen, the NOSzle kit doesn't afftect the fuel injector flow in any negative way whatsoever.

I'm getting a new kit with a filled bottle for about $1200, so counting the fact it's a wet kit with all the stuff you need (including the TPS switch), it looks like a easy way for some extra HP. A regular kit will cost about $1000 after the switches, etc

I'd still use the studs. You should be able to get a head off if you need to.

Not sure what number you were trying to type there, but regardless. I'd stick to the normal ~11.5:1. You can drive it easily on pump gas, and when you hit the spray, you'll be using better fuel and the CR will be a virtual Non-Issue, assuming you have adequate Octane/Plugs/Retards.

Not sure on what you plan on the fuel system. If you're planning on using the OEM style fuel system for the Motor and Nitrous, well it might be abit much. I'd want to mov to a Sumped tank, Large Braided Lines, etc. Not sure on what type of fuel pressure requirements the system you're getting has either, EFI or Carb Pressure?
This is the most important place NOT TO SKIMP!

Hehehe, it ALWAYS seems easy, but......

Cool

Well, at the very least, I figure I could drop the engine if I absoloutly had to take off the heads. I'm hoping that it won't be nescessary befor e a rebuild though

I was trying to type 10.5:1 CR, but it got kind of fugged up I'm guessing I will stick with the 11.5:1 ratio since it's not too much of an issue with race gas.

I planned on moving to all Aeroquip style stuff from tank to fuel rails. The kit has small plastic type hoses that run from each NOSzle back and forth to the return an the fuel and N2O lines I'm guessing. The kit is wet and it runs off of EFI style pressure.

Well, it seems easy in the sense that everything you need as far as the system itself is packaged together. No having to run around for the window switch

I'm hoping someone puts out the cash to try this before I do Looks like a good system that has a lot of potential.
