LACRaceway questions

I am planning on moving to the LA area and want to go race at the track, so I've got a couple of questions. Does the corrected times for elevation appear on the slip, or can you find out. Is race gas available anywhere in the area or track, and what rules do they go by--Thanks

LACR does not hand out corrected slips...

As far as race gas...they do sell on-site.

No corrected time slip at LACR. I have become oh too familiar with a 14 second time slip.

The only place I know you can get racing gasoline is 76. 76 has it in certain locations. You would have to check on 76's website for locations!

LACR

altitude: 2700'
adjust 1/4 mile time by .9679 to get sea-level E.T.

Hmm thanks for the calculations, it seems if I run 14.5 then corrected would be 14.0--that really sucks, its like losing 50 horses. Thats the only thing that sucks about LA county I'm gonna leave michigan and upon arriving in cali iot will be like I left my longtube headers and exhaust back at home. I'll have to get some more modes just to make it feel as fast as it was in Michigan, well I guess that a good excuse to mode the beast. I don't know how those people in real high elevations like denver can handle their slow driving cars!

Those correction factors are not really correct. They assume the air will remain static. If you want "accurate" correction numbers, you need to calculate the Density Altitude (based on Elevation: 2710, air temp., dew point, and baro.). LACR sells race gas for like $5/gallon, but you must call first. There are other locations in Palmdale that sell race gas. One of which has 105 octane. They are strict sometime, other times they are "leaniant", but always based on NHRA rules.

I seem to be the So-Cal LACR expert on the 'net, especially since I live only 10 minutes away.
