Acutally I read somewhrer that is one of the worst places in the country for car theft.
IT was a nice area.. about 10 years ago, now I avoid it like the plague.

a buddy of mine just graduated the mercedes program and is now in florida at their training center.

as far as 22nd and Dunlap, I highly recomend an alarm. and a fuel cutoff. tint the side windows too. don't worry, no cop will harass you about it.

let me know when you come here, I will gladly like to meet up with you and introduce you to our group of f-bodies. most of us are from 18-30, and like to hangout and shoot the ****.

Yeah, I'm looking into anti-theft devices right now. One cool one I found on the internet is called Ravelco. It's a 16-pin removable plug that connects through an armored steel cable the firewall to electrical connections that won't allow the car to start. Looks pretty good to me, you guys might want to check it out. I'll probably tint my side windows too. I used to have limo tint sides, but had to remove it after a ticket in California. I'm thinking about 20% for the sides in AZ, or maybe a little darker like 15%.

Madhatter, I'll make sure to e-mail you once I get to Phoenix in early October. I've checked out the AZFBA website already and read some posts about the club here on this board, and it looks like something that would definitely be cool to be a part of. It would be so nice to finally have an F-body support system to make this hobby easier and more fun, as I've been pretty much stranded solo in my niche of California.

Thanks for the comment about the car , you should shoot me a pic or link to check out your car too.

I just moved out here last week from Ohio, rent is a lot cheaper than IL and OH....as for the accidents i was told to be a super defensive driver. Gas prices suck right now, but thats about all i have to complain about. The weather is great, girls are hot, and i dont have to put snow tires on in a couple months.

19Formula94 and slothgrant, welcome to AZ

slothgrant, I have two words for you, LO JACK

The area around metrocenter is considered semi-ghettofabulous.

Hope to see you around, maybe at the track or at the Scottsdale Pavillions car show (when I do show)
