It's a Sony digital camcorder, but I always dub them to VHS. So I can make you a copy of the whole thing just as easily as just your runs. When I get around to it I'll make a few extra tapes available.

but I'll see what I can do.
I suppose I could have been letting off too early. I remember seeing lights on both sides of the track and one wold light up slightly before you got to it. I figured when the light came on the run was done. I can't say for sure when I let off the gas.
I'm with Timberwolf on the digital thing, or need to get with him if he knows someone who can go from VHS to digital. I use my computer way more than I use my VCR... even when it involves my television!
Whatever is easiest though, as you're the one that took the time to tape us.

OK, the tape has been copied from the digital video camera to a regular VHS tape. So anyone who wants copies can have it on VHS. If you have a blank tape you'd like us to put it on, you can drop it off to me at work. PM me for the address.

The first line (beams) function is to START the MPH clock.
The second line (beams) has two functions:
1) Stop MPH clock.
2) Stop ET clock.
The LAST line is the ACTUAL END of the quarter mile and the shutting down of the ET clocks.!
During my day there were three lines. The last line (beams) shut off the MPH clock. It was cosolidated sometime after I quit racing seriously in the mid 80's.
By the way... a wise racer ALWAYS checks out the:
a) Starting line
b) Staging lanes
c) The traps
Before racing at an unfamiliar track. You ESPECIALLY have to look at the big end to see how well marked it is. I always use the first line as an indicater for bracket racing, i.e. when to use brakes if I can.

Why should she be running 104 with 13.5 times?
I'm running 104 with 13.2 traps
Is it because she has 3.23 gears (presumably) and I hav 3.73?
In my other 94Z from a couple years ago I ran 12.8 at 108 and that seems to be pretty common. Is there only 4mph difference between 12.8 and 13.5?
I'm not trying to take anything away from her, I'm just generally trying to figure out why my ETs are so much lower if my MPH would indicate a mid 13...

The reason that everyone said that the MPH of the SS was low is because LS1 autos that run 13.5s generally run 104-105.
To throw some more numbers out there mine runs 12.4s at 108 @ 3585lb raceweight. Why did your old car only run 12.8 at 108? See what I mean? No logical comparisons because the power curve is totally different.
