Hey guys a just put a set of 1.6 rockers on my car but the stock valve covers will not work not tall enough.....did anybody else have this problem.....if so where did you find a set of tall style centerbolt valve covers......i tried converting a regular tall style Small block set but cant get them to seal properly.....thanks alot

 

you have to clearance the valve covers..

take a dremel and get to work

 

Jegs or Summit. Or just as he said above, and maybe try double gaskets.

Theres a company out there that makes a shim that goes between the vc and the head to allow clearance with stock vc's. I'm sure if you look around you'll find what i;m referring to.

 

I am using the stock covers with my 1.6 comp pro mags.You can bend the lip on the support ribs closest to the intake.Do a search on LT1 tech.There is a website with detailed pictures on how to do it.
