Problem with hooker install, how does this go in?
The tube that connects into the header is way off for connecting. Here is a pic.

HOW THE F^CK DOES IT FIT?
Can I leave it off with a block off plate on the header? (What codes or any loss in perf because of it?)

That's the air-pump tube. It's there to get the cats up to temp. No performance loss, but I dunno about a code.
You could try heating it with a torch, and bending it. But I'd just tear off all the air-pump crap and be done with it.

Block off the header, and tear the rest of that **** off. As case said, its there for your cats, its supplies them with oxygen at start up. f*ck the ozone.

well, you could fab up some block off plates and take it all off. but then you'd need custom program to eliminate the AIR system. so if you want a reprogram anyways, take if off.
otherwise, bolt on the lowr portion, heat it up and twist/pull it over to the rubber hose. or even get another piece of hose to make an extension to reach the hose.
I deleted my air system even though I dont have my headers on yet. it'll make changing plugs ALOT easier and will cleanup the eng. compartment.

They sell block off kits for the AIR and EGR systems for 30 dollars on LS1.com and LS1tech.com. Some cars throw a code and others don't. You don't need the stuff, they just help with emissions. Also how is the rest of the install going, my hookers should be here any time soon? Are you doing them yourself?

Mine didn't line up either. Yank that AIR crap out of there. Engine looks MUCH cleaner. If you get a code shoot me an email.

I had mine deleted also, and just blocked them off.
I get the impression that you aren't looking to do that. Really simple. Most guys use the ones off a 99, because they are bent different. But you can just put it in a vice & SLOWLY bend it to the shape that you want. It does help to heat it up in the bend. If you go to fast, you will break it. I have done this a few times, & it worked out great. Make sure you use a gasket when you put the tube back on.
I got your message, but I'm having problems with my phone, so shoot me an email if you need anything. I'll call you again later, when I get the phone thing figured out. Later.

I got a second passenger side pipe because it's straighter and shorter than the driver side. Might work slightly better. Just try it out with your passenger side one and see how far off you are. I also had to fab up a 6" piece of 3/4" radiator hose to connect it back up. No big deal. I actually should get rid of that crap and loose a little weight in the process.
