Motor is back in!!

Along with the ARE tubular CM K-member. Lost about 40 lb's off the front right there. Need to get an alignment done.

The motor went in fine, just trying to button up the intake, wiring, and figure out what goes where. It's been 5 months since I pulled it, some things aren't where they should be. Power steering, alt, and the water pump were the last things to go on last night.

"Note to self" Slow down on the weight lifting. I cracked the hell out of the starter noid when tightening down the bolt. Piece of crap is plastic.

Now if I could just get a tranny... 2 weeks wait on that. Different TQ arm, driveshaft loop, crossmember, on and on.. After that's all done and dialed in, I have to put together the direct port together, and the stand alone fuel system. Then get a$$ ready for some serious puckering when the button goes down & 750-800 HP hits the rear wheels

(money tree has dried up )
(Mastercard wants his $$)
(send contributions, please!!!)

Sounds Like A Fun Ride Is In Your Future!!!!!!!

Well, make sure you let us know when you get close to taking it to the track. I want to keep my eye out and see what it does. I'll bet the waiting is killing you. I can only imagine how all the wires look lose in the engine bay.

I have had my car at APE for a couple weeks and looking for my first trip into the 10's, the wait is killing me. I am running 12-12.2 before I took it in. I had 150 NX Wet kit added + a computer retune. I am hoping it will get me to a 10.99, or better? This will be my first experience with the JUICE. Any tips for me? I have a delay timer on the system set for 2-3 secs after launch. By the way, can you hit nitrous from a 45-50mph roll, safetly?

Later,

Bill

The good thing about the LS1, is that the while the wires look mind boggling, when it's scattered all around in the engine compartment, the plugs only go in one spot, except for the injector plugs, and those are length specific to the injector it goes too. It wasn't too bad figuring that out. The tough part was remembering where some of the bolts went to.

Bill, do you still have the 12 bolt? You dont need 2-3 seconds of delay, even with the 10 bolt. If you have the 12, hit the button right out of the hole!! With the 10, you just need to get it rolling before you hit the button, so 1 seconds would be perfect. You will need some serious traction, so start looking at an ET Street, or Drag tire. Without that, you'll be slidding all around the track. I think with the right tire, and track (Stanton), 10's will be no problem.

I wont have much time for T&T this year, except on the back roads around here. I'd like to have the car ready for Bowling Green on May 31, but realistically, I dont think the car will be dialed in until the 1st anual Camaroz28 outing, late July.

I just want to take my time, and make sure everything is right, and the engine broken in, before I even put the nitrous on the car. See ya all at the track.
