Fluxup on I96..... anyone involved?

What a clusterfux that turned out to be. I was on a long am conference call that lasted past noon, so I decided to stay in EL and work from home.

Damn glad I did, I would have been making the westerly trek back from Birmingham at crash time.

Sux that people died, inc. a 15 yo kid.

I came thru there at noon and visibility was ok. It must have gone downhill from there. Semis have passed me before in heavy fog going 70, so I'm guessing thats what caused it. If you are going slow on the freeway, use the right lane and have your flashers on.

I work at Capital Honda right at the 110 exit. We were swarming with police -- ELPD brought all their tahoes and other 4x4s... Meridian Township had their 4x4 Explorers and TONS of crown vics show up. I swear it was 2 maybe 3 choppers runnin life-flight back and forth to sparrow.

It happened 30 minutes before I got there, I was stuck in traffic and it took over 3 hours to get from Washtenaw county court to Cooley in Lansing. It was down to one lane this afternoon and they were still cleaning up debris. It was really foggy at the time it happened, I could barely see the brake lights of the car in front of me. It was very sad to watch numerous ambulances drive back and forth.

a friend of mine was there for front row seating. the first collision was a 5 car with a jackknife semi.. they were able to avoid it but less then a minute later it got really bad. it is extremely unfortunate, the fog was the worst i've seen it. i was out between novi and pontiac driving all day in it and couldn't believe how bad it was.
