Ditto

If I win the lotto, I'll rent the track and you are all invited

I didn't really make much of an announcement just yet but it is true, I have no plans for M14.

The short reasons are that my wife will be unable to help with the booth, track prices have gone up, attendance/club participation has gone down, and let's just say that sponsor commitment and follow through has been less than helpful. I have other reasons but they are overall trivial.

I also have concerns about the economy. I am strapped like everyone else and I cannot take time off to organize an event that could force me to lose money because no one else has money either. I just cannot take the risk this year, I am very sorry to say.

I have talked with Q and he is going to see what he can put together as he has mentioned. I'll help where I can.

When I tell people this, they ask about M15. Heh...we'll have to see. I'd just like to see M14 go well...and stay in the original spirit of the event. (hint, hint)

Yeah, I was really wanting to go this year as well.

Can we start talking about M14v.2 for next year? That gives over a year of planning, and enough time for people to save up their unemployment checks for the entrance fee.

I have decided to not do anything this year as well. I have enough going on right now, that I would not do the day justice.

I do however believe that I will still put on a race next season in the manner I was discussing. Maybe I can even get Jason to come out of retirement long enough to lend a hand

That's really too bad. Maybe the Royal Pontiac guys will do a Milan event this year and we can all go and crash that.

If the Royal Pontiac guys don't, the Michigan Grand Prix club usually invites my site to their Grand Prix track day...

Maybe they'll like you better now that you've ditched that blue oval.

Naaah, I started a fight on their forum over some of their members behavior at the late night meets in Lansing... I got banned within the hour. Guess what tho - those GP owners who were doing burnouts in the parking lot and getting their drink on haven't shown back up to any of the late night events...

Sounds like the same thing that happened a couple years ago at the GVSU Car Show in the spring. GP club shows up and a few of them decide to do donuts in the middle of a crowd of people - one lady had to dive out of the way to avoid being hit. Everyone was pretty ticked at the GP club and if memory serves correctly they had to issue a public apology on behalf of the few ******** of the group.
