Lookin for an lt1 shop around union lake mi.

Our 94 T/A LT1 6 speed has a serious miss when you drive it. The duraspark has been replaced and now the codes say faulty O2 sensor which we are changing out tomorrow.
I just find it hard to believe it's an O2 sensor.

Anyway, if that isn't it, I need an LT1 shop. Anybody know of one near Union Lake Michigan??

thanks

Most of the shops that I know of are along Clinton Twp area but there is one shop in Waterford - Collins Automotive Repair Services. Sean is really good at diagnosing problems and what not - just pay attention to who works on the car and what they do. Sean's a good guy though and will stand behind his work.

Just make Sean does the work himself and double check it all when you're done. He's always fixed his mistakes when my car was at his shop (like not tightening down my lug nuts... really fun finding out you have one lug nut left when you're driving up I-75) and I know another guy that had 1200 in repairs after taking his car to Sean but diagnosing stuff Sean's a genius. I think it's the other guys that help him out at the shop that cause the problems. I got so many complaints on MiFbody about his shop that I had to remove him as a sponsor.

Well first, you put a ford part (Duraspark) on your LT1!! That's the problem right there!.

Check your coil, and the connections. I have a few spare coils if you want to troubleshoot.
I had a buddies Caprice break up real bad anytime he put some load on the motor. It was a new MSD coil.. just a bad one.

Heard a lot of cases where a "brand new" MSD Coil is bad. Seems to be safer to stick with AC Delco.

personal experience... anything outside the AC Delco replacement is total crap.

For diagnosing things, though, you can't argue that Sean is pretty darn good at figuring out what's wrong with a car. Though his shop might add to it. I've taken my car to him before to have him diagnose it and then fixed it myself.

I know it isn't exactly close, but they do great work.

I would recommend Engineered Victories or Victory Racing Engines.

http://www.engineeredvictories.com/

http://www.victoryracingengines.com/

I had billing issues with VRE the last time I went there, but they do good work.

Stan at EVI has never steered me wrong though and does great work.
