I got the valve covers off.. couldnt get some things off to get to them tho so I ended up leaving those things on (trans dip stick tube, few tubes and such) So We could probly just pop those off real quick tomorrow in about 5 seconds and get started... I started working on the torque arm bushing and gave up because I couldnt get to anything down there. I on the drivers side valve cover there was a light milky substance in some places on the inside of the valve cover.. any idea what that might be?

moisture. its common to get some of that in the winter months especially if you make short runs where the motor doesnt stay hot for a few hrs.

I drove the 97TA into work today hoping that I could be done at a reasonable hour and enjoy some of the fun... but I'm still here at 3:30pm so it looks like I am not going to make it.

Dang.

So how did it go?

went pretty good.. me and john had a freakin wonderful time with the torque arm bushing while we waited for brian and once he got here i ordered the pizza and we did the valvetrain.. everything went real smooth and went together first try no readjusting. they did awesome work that the Tranny feels so much different now. I gotta say my butt dyno is getting tired..
