if you have the valve covers off by the time we all get there the only thing "special" needed is a spring compressor, and a heal bar to pop the seals off. (are you changing seals too?) Both of which I have. I'm a field service mechanic for Caterpillar... I have a ton of tools.

im changing the seals as well yes.. I am not sure if we need a spring compressor. i believe john said he was bringing one. I will find out. He also mentioned you have your own method that would result in us not needing an air compressor?

I should have the valve covers off by the time you guys get there tho. I dont think i should run into any problems with that.

its not really my method... all you have to do is put each piston at TDC and you can take the spring off. The valve wont fall any more than 1/4". No big deal really. Just roll the motor over till the valves are changing from exh stroke to intake and you are at tdc for that cyl... yank the spring and seal, swap on new and move to the next.

Are we doing that with the BIG screw driver like we did on the 97TA?
I want some of that action. It made my pecs nice and tight.

OK, I'm back online. We finished Harolds car this afternoon, and he needs to change his title from Sweet97 to SweetTHUNDER97!

I've got all the spring compressor ( 4 different types to be exact ). We wouldn't need a compressor now that we had the mod-Father. I'll bring the wrenchs, sockers, allen keys, picks and magnet.

Brandon, if you can pull the valve covers off Friday so you can check the gaskets and get a set if needed.

No need for beer, Coffee and Pizza works for me!
