Saturday 9/28 - "F-Body Hostile Takeover" at Maple Grove!
baron4406, what color is your car? I did exchange waves with some guy in a silver LT1 Z on the way through staging
phoenix916, I only knew of one third-gen that was coming and he was with the SLFBA. I just figured the other third-genners were there on their own
BTW, I had the silver LS1 Z28 with the 35th Anniversary graphics (duh). Pics in the sig.
I also left around 1:00pm. I worked late the night before, woke up around 6:00am to go and by that time I was
. Got four runs in though, including a new best -- 12.98 @108.47! My first 12-sec slip!

PSU98 - First thing I did was look in yer signature and although you do have a sweet Z, the guy I was talking with had a SS. I do believe he told me that with just a K&N and a tuning he was getting 13.2 which really impressed me. I was the one with the 94Z for sale out in the lot. With my fresh 3.73s and a few other goodies like SFC's and tuning, I was really wanting to check it out. BTW, I stayed till the end and say that car that leaped into the air - was a fantastic sight! Saw some SS camaros really rippen up the track too in the late afternoon. I'd love to go back again.
I was there on Sat. I saw a lot of f-bodys which was cool.
PSU98-I waived to someone in a silver Z in the stagging lanes, maybe it was you. I forgot your car was silver. I was lookin' for a red 35th aniv. camaro. Let us know when when the next gathering is, I'll be there.

I only ran 3 times but it was my first time at the track. In all I was fine with my times but expected better. A friend was supposed to go so I could put my speaker box and front seat in his ride. So I had to run full street weight including a full gas tank. If I had all that weight out do you think my times would be much better. By the way my car is white like in the sig with a gold bird on the hood and Centerline spears. How much better can I get my reaction times with practice?
3 reation times in order
.879 .729 .662
best run
R/T .662
60' 2.128
330 6.010
1/8 9.207
MPH 77.65
1000 11.956
1/4 14.291
MPH 96.71
Can these get much better? I'd like to atleast need to wear a helmet.

Well its been like a 100 years since I've posted on this sight. I had a crappy day. She only ran OK with the bottle to a 11.91 at 119MPH with the lil 75 shot with 900psi. It was fun but I also didn't get to meet to many since I was racing and talking trash on people for giggles. Well keep poppin wheelies in the parking lot!! Post through
Brett, if you can bring your 60' down around 2.00 and maybe drop a little of that extra weight I think you can see a 13 second slip.
Hey fireturd, I've got your swivel socket and screwdriver. They must've fallen out of your toolbox on the way out
BTW, any of you guys are welcome to meet up with the SLFBA for our meets. There probably won't be a lot of race dates left as the tracks start to close for the season, but we'll be hanging around somewhere all winter

I was there and got 4 runs in by 11:30. First 3 runs were almost identical all between 13.13 - 13.15. Then the last was my best run of 13.05 @106 1.94 60'. I still couln't break into the 12's damnit!!
I talked to quite a few people in the staging lanes before we started racing which was cool, I know there were others I didn't get to meet. I really wish I could've stayed the whole day but I was in a bit of a rush, I ended up having to leave around 12:30
Had to help the wife get ready for a party we we had at the house on Sunday.

I had the dorky polo green '95 Z that was running in the 13.6 range at 102 MPH. Probably the only guy in the world who picked up almost nothing from a Hooker LT install.............anyway I say "dorky" because I had to take my car to work one day that week, well I work in a quarry and my car was FILTHY. So I did a quickie wash before I got to the track, only thing is too TOO quicky I missed the ENTIRE passenger side of the car. I noticed in it at tech. What a dork I am.....anyway there was a silver SS behind me the whole time with a younger guy in it. One guy borrowed my pen and the goof never brought it back.......grrrr. Well the usual F-Bodies were there too the guy (Doug?? I'm terrible at remembering names) from FBody shop was there but his awesome hugger orange '99 wasn't....still having tranny troubles. My buddies '63 Chevy got close to the 10's but no cigar. We'll be back next week but I'm unsure if I'll race.
Hey Baron4406, I'm the goof that borrowed your pen. I can mail it to ya if you want.
I tried to give it back to you in the stagging lanes but you drove off before I had a chance to return it. I totally didn't realize you were from this board or I would have said hi.
