Saturday 9/28 - "F-Body Hostile Takeover" at Maple Grove!
I've been plugging this gathering for about three months now, and it's less than a month away!
Below is a rework of my original post.
I've been in touch with Maple Grove Raceway about hosting a fall F-Body event. Although they're pretty well booked for this season, they've suggested that we could be worked in with a regular test-n-tune day on Saturday September 28, 2002. Cost to run will be $20. With the response thus far, I don't think seeing 40-50 F-Cars would be out of the question! Maple Grove has suggested that we could possibly turn this into a stand-alone event for 2003, so a big showing of F-Bodies wouldn't hurt our chances. Mark your calendars and make plans to attend!
I invited GMHTP to attend this and had hoped to tell you guys that we would get a little publicity, but their response in effect was that we would be too small to justify any coverage... which makes me all the more determined to do this! Any questions please post up or email me and I'll try to answer them as best I can. Hope to see you all there!

That would be a good opportunity for me to see what the mods to my 88 did for it. I'll have to wait until closer to then though because of my work schedule. Sounds like fun.

I got 4 events scheduled for that day! Cecil for wathcing the Division 1 races, my company's picnic at Dorney, a MG show in Maryland, and the Grove. Looks like the Grove until about 1 then off to Dorney. I rather be racing than watching or sleeping in a chair behind Linda's MGB. "Have to" make an apperance at the company picnic. See ya all on the 28th.

I'm there for sure. I just got my 4:10's installed and had some PCM reprogramming done this week. Haven't had it to the track yet to test it out. Between vacation next month and way too many family events to attend
that Sat is looking like my next chance to get out and run the car. I'm looking forward to it

Gates open at 9:00am, racing from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Plenty of time to race in the morning and make other commitments later in the day!

You guys ALWAYS do this stuff on days that I am already booked!!! Its my b-day on the 28th and the g/f is taking me out Fri night for something... she wont tell me what though. And Sat I am getting all my friends together to get drunk... hmmm, but thats not till later. Maybe I can make an apearance for a little while
. I am laking in the tire department right now though. Jim, Thanks for the offer on the Nittos but I think my car is way beyond that point. Last time I tried them I might as well have been on an ice skating rink
. Best I could muster up on dr's was a 2.1 or something like that. And I'm not one to "feather" the gas... is on the floor or on the breaks... nothing in between.I'll let you know if I manage to get my new wheel and tire combo set up done by then
