Saturday 9/28 - "F-Body Hostile Takeover" at Maple Grove!
I'm sure Maple Grove will be enforcing all safety requirements this day, so yes, you will need a helmet. And don't forget to wear long pants! Don't be afraid to ask any of us questions about racing, when you do it once you'll be hooked!
Hey I Live like right outside bally and about 10 mins away from allentown. I should be there. Just look for a black z28 with cowl hood and twinturbo decals
Would post my sig but its really really old lol.

A lot of people (including me) have been worried about the weather. Well I've been checking the major weather forecasts daily and it looks like the rain will be coming sooner than expected (Thursday and Friday), meaning that right now Saturday is looking partly cloudy / sunny!
If the weather holds there should be a lot of cars out for this. The SLFBA should have at least 10-12 of our members. I also emailed some of the area F-Body clubs (CJC/FO and the MAFBA), got inquiries from some classic F-car owners, not to mention a bunch of people from this board and LS1.com! I'm hesitant to give an estimate of the number of cars, so I'll just say that if you're waiting for "someone else" to show, you'll be missing a great time
The more F-cars there Saturday, the easier it will be to push for a separate event next year, and the closer we'll be to a total Takeover of the Grove!!

I think we had a pretty good turnout today and the weather was awesome! I know a lot of you guys were there and I didn't get to meet you all, I apologize for that but it's hard trying to remember who's "from the board" and who just wants me to leave them alone
Plus I was racing 90% of the day
Already planning ahead for next time!

Hey was there today, was racing my Z and helping my buddy with his drag car. Not ONE person from here even came up and said hi.............damn you guys are stuck up. Had a good time with my usual buds there and car actually ran its quickest times.
to you stuck up CamaroZ28 guys

I went on Saturday. I arrived around 12:30-12:45 and saw very little F-body turn out, actually seemed like folks had left early or something. I brought my Z28 and it was a beautiful day! First timer at the event and I was impressed at the power exhibited there. There were some very nice Camaros in the Pit area and I did meet one fellow Camaro owner - SS Sliver - was beautiful man - I just wanted to watch an absorb everything but next time I swear I'll race my A4. BTW, cant believe I saw a car there do 7.6 at 182mph!!
Hope we have another get together soon.

I was there with a friends 91 Z28. Didnt get a chance to socialize much, between getting both cars ready, getting screwed in the staging lanes, and tech.
All in all there was a good amount of Fbodies there, and a lot more poeple than i had thought would be in general.
If anyone stayed till the end,you probably saw the Balck 91 Z28 yank the wheels and come slamming down. That was GPz406.
He launched hard on the bottle, the front end was 2.5' up and climbing, untill the trans let go......and i mean the bellhousing SPLIT from the trans, which sent the car crashing down wasted the driveshaft, blew the steering wheel air bag,and making a mess.

Never made it out yesterday, a friend ended up coming over and we finally got his SS running. Its been in my driveway for months with drivetrain problems and some PCM problems. He actually drove off with it yesterday so I would say it turned out to be a relatively good day for us anyway.
