Weather is looking really good for sunday (so far).....doesnt look like any chance of precipitation as of yet

Hmm....now what can i do to my car in the next couple days to make it go faster? j/k...nothing really excpet for traction

Rich, are you still planning on going? If so, that would rock if we could pull some timing out of the car.

Yeah, today Dave...next week too if the weather is good.

Even though it is cloudy, the weather channel and weather.com both are saying no rain....it looks like it is starting to clear up here now anyway.

So I will definatly be going today....Gary is going too.

See you guys there

How'd you guys do? With the cold air, I'll be trap speeds were up, but ET's down a bit due to poor traction. Next weeks weather looks poor, so I guess today was the last day of racing this year

Ok guys where do you want to meet?

I want to get there early since its the last time to go and all.

I think some people are meeting at Mighty Taco off of Sheridan around 8am. Gates open at 9:30am I believe.

Weather looks sketchy this weekend, so I believe that last sunday was probably the last day of the season. Either way, I am not going up this weekend since I have been up the last couple and dont need to chance breaking something.

Last sunday was GREAT for those who had to miss out...wish everyone could have been there. Rich, your car would have been NUTS last sunday I was ecstatic when my mph was up....my car went 11.61@125.75 NA. The ET is not a worry of mine now since I am on the stock rear end, so mph was all i was concerned about. All I wanted was 125, and it ended up almost 126

I'd love to get one more day in. A run on a really cold day ought to produce some sick trap speeds! Looking for maybe 140mph if they let me run. I got some questions from tech about my lack of a full cage last time . Let's see what the weather is looking like at the end of the week. If it looks possible I would also like an early start.

I may as well go for broke if the track is open. The motor is coming out anyway......

Now is it better to just re-ring the motor? Or get a whole new bottom end and swap it for another one? Im looking for the cheapest option here.

Thanks
Matt: depends on how much you are going to do yourself and on what you find when you tear down the motor you have. It's hard to generalize. Another big "if" is that used motor. Unless you are getting it from someone you trust it can be hard to evaluate the condition. You can do a leakdown test, inspect bearings, etc. But that's no substitute for running it.

Where do things stand?
