NEXT Friday at NYIRP!

Tuned the car tonight, and it's nearly ready to go, should finish up Sunday. Then, there's just an oil leak to track down and some details to finish and I should be ready to go the track next week.

Not expecting it to run real fast, the morons at Coan sent me the converter they thought I needed, rather than the one Bob Kennedy and I told them I wanted in a total of nearly an hour on the phone. I stalled it against the brake tonight and it flared to 5,200rpm. And that was without the nitrous! So I think it's just gonna blow the tires off and run out of rpm at the big end. But I won't know until I try, so I am gonna go for it.

We couldn't get an accurate hp reading, the converter was just too loose. But damn, did it sound GOOD! Made 17psi of boost instantly when the converter flared. The odd thing is, it was pretty tolerable on the street when I drove it the other night. Coan at least was right about that, so maybe they know best?

Anyway, I will post when I sure I am going and would like to see some of the WNY and Finger Lakes guys, since I haven't made the last couple of meetings. Maybe Bret will show up and I can meet him? That would be cool.

would love to go, but dont think thats gonna be possible

took the past 2 fridays off, so a 3rd is probably not the best thing.

plus the fact my headers arent here yet, and there is no point to see what i already know.

maybe rich when you get everything worked out and are at 100% or better , i will be gladly go...by then i should be ready to run again.

I may be there, but not with the car. The converter is just too loose. We are going to take it out toady and send it back to be "adjusted". If my buddy Joe is ready to test, I will be out with him though and will let you guys know.
