Dragstrips in NY?

I'm pretty new to Fort Drum and the NY area. So how many dragstrips are here and where are they at? Thanks.

New York International Raceway Park in Leichester, NY is about 2 hours from you.....more western NY. That is where we all go.

There are a few in the area depending on how far you want to drive. You have ESTA Safty Park which is the track I go to every Sunday (well, at least up untill I broke my trans). They are located just north of Syracuse in Cicero, NY.

There is New York International Raceway Park which is mentioned above. They run several days per week.

Then there are the smaller tracks. Spencer Speedway is a 1/10th mile track that runs on Saturday nights. They use the front stretch of the asphault oval for the drag strip. Very unique place and it is a great place to spectate. Super short race with a super short shutdown area.
Lancaster Speedway also runs on the front streatch of a oval and they run Friday nights.

So, the tracks are around. You just need to decide what day you want to race and pick where you need to go. Have fun.
