i can see the point about backhalved cars. i was going by 2 cars that are around here(QQ plated novas that sit on slicks 24/7) i figured that was fairly common all over. both cars are former NMCA competitors.

so would you guys consider the rules fair if we axed the back halved cars and included 10.5W tires? along with the rest of the "street" rules?

just got the hotel info squared away.
comfort in in hacketstown. about 8 miles from teh track. place is only a few months old, i sure it will seem much older after we are done with it

Don't base the tire thing on only my input.... I just happen to have a set of 15W's and a set of 11.5's and I'm too cheap to buy another set . And without a cage, I know they aren't going to let me run under 10.00 at Island, so the car isn't going to be all that competetive.

With that in mind, are you planning on some "time trials" for people that don't want to do brackets or heads up?

 

we would like to have fun run lanes. it will all depend on how the lanes work out for the bracket and heads up classes.
i hve gotten a lot of feedback about the tire thing. it looks like something along the lines of your suggerstions will work out best, thanks again for your feedback on that issue.

does anyone have any last minute comments or suggestions for teh drag racing classes?
we are looking to finalize the racing rules in the next few days so taht we can go forward with a clear picture to work on attracting sponsors. as of now all classes are "street" based. check out the site for details and let me know if there is anything else we shoudl consider before finalizing teh rules.

The NJFBOA is having an informal planning meeting at the Fudds on Rt. 22 in Bridgewater on February 8th @ 6:30. Please try to attend this meet, and don't forget to hit up the regional and event sections of any other boards you visit. We want to hear from everyone, whether they agree of disagree with our ideas. We are always open to good suggestions that we haven't thought of yet.

i will prolly put up a new thread over here in teh next few days about it, but we are gettign close to finalizing teh rules for all teh drag classes at the east coast nats.
if anyone has any more suggestions get tehm in soon so we cn finalize things.
