ZZ-9 or Hotcam

Well I have been set on the LT4 hotcam for a bit and was going to do it over spring break(mid april). But now I am looking at TPIS's ZZ-9 cam and the specs are similar to the hotcam. The cam along is $375 and requires springs that some people apparently have got for free with some haggling with TPIS. The ZZ-9 is designed to run with the stock RR's and the hotcam kit includes the 1.6's. So I was thinking maybe do the ZZ-9 and then the RR's at a later date, OR maybe even the ZZ-9X which is a much beefier cam for also $375 and that's a bigger cam than the Hotcam #'s wise even before the RR's. I am gonna call TPIS and see what they say, but I was looking for your guys opinions on those two cams for everyday driveability.

Also, if someone could give me the numbers for the ZZ cams with 1.6 RR's

Next winter should be doing heads/shortie headers(warranty still works this way)

P.P.S. How does Florida's emissions checks work? Visual, sniffer, none?
I may end up in Jax or Orlando come fall.

GMPartsdirect.com has the hotcam kit in stock and its not too much more(not enough to matter anyway).

If I order it(hot cam kit), it will be March 15th, and I won't need it till April 12th.
